A small hotel with fab food. Good-sized rooms with beautiful fresh bedding on a very comfortable bed, ENJOYABLE stay! All in all perfect and perfectly comfortable location, not far from the restaurant, Castle Douglas and the pub. Also, very close to bus stop. Honestly nothing to complain about.

The gluten-free options were delicious and plentiful, and we appreciated not having to search for suitable dishes. The hospitality and attentiveness of the staff made us feel like valued guests. Despite a couple of minor cleanliness issues and the lack of WiFi in the room, our overall experience at Star Hotel was wonderful. We highly recommend both the food and the warm atmosphere. I would definitely recommend this hotel for a delightful stay.
